What do you teach, and where?
-2nd Grade at Park Medical Academy
What’s your favorite thing(s) about being an educator?
-My favorite thing about being an educator is witnessing my student’s growth. Witnessing them develop new skills and confidence can be incredibly fulfilling. Similarly, knowing that you’re making a difference in their future, helping to shape their potential and open doors for them, can be profoundly satisfying. It’s incredible how much of an impact you can have on their lives and aspirations!
How do you like to unwind?
- There’s something so satisfying about winding down with a good reality show, hot wings, and a nice glass of wine. Jam Jar is my personal favorite!
Three things on your bucket list:
- Travel to my dream destination: I would love to explore the vibrant streets of Tokyo, marveling at the wonders of the Great Barrier Reef, or take a scenic road trip through the American Southwest.
-Learn a new skill: I am very crafty. Hopefully, one day, I can master my craft and retire! The process of learning something new can be both challenging and rewarding.
-Make a difference: I aspire to contribute positively to my community!
On her day off, Terynisha is most likely doing this:
-I will most likely run around Baton Rouge with my daughter on my day off.
Favorite thing about Baton Rouge: My favorite thing about Baton Rouge is the unbeatable culture! I am 225, born and raised!
This song will immediately get me out of my seat: I’m from Baton Rouge, of course; turn the Beat up.
Three words to describe you: Hustler, Friendly, and Dedicated
Favorite BR restaurant: Chimes
Thank you, Terynisha, for all you do to foster a love for learning in your students! Keep shining and inspiring the next generation of thinkers and dreamers!
